The Boeing Space Center consists of two eight-story office buildings of 150,000 square feet each with an adjoining ground-level cafeteria. The structural framework for the towers consists of cast-in-place reinforced concrete with ductile frames for seismic and wind resistance. Framing of the cafeteria is structural steel.
CKC developed efficient structural systems which allowed the use of high-production concrete formwork in the office towers, resulted in construction prices significantly lower than similar buildings in the area.
