Matt Hopper, SE, PE is Managing Principal, IL at Cary Kopczynski & Company (CKC) in its Chicago office, which provides a full suite of structural engineering services to serve the Midwest and East Coast markets. 

With over 20 years of structural engineering experience specializing in post-tensioned concrete structures, Mr. Hopper has designed a wide variety of projects including high-rise and mid-rise multifamily residential buildings, office buildings, hotels, and parking structures. Mr. Hopper joined CKC in 2006 after practicing structural engineering in Chicago for five years. His experience also includes structural steel, cold-formed steel, and masonry structures.

He has extensive experience with value engineering (VE), buildable design, and has served as a project manager on numerous projects all over the United States. Mr. Hopper is also an active member of the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois (SEAOI).
