Located at the intersection of Wilshire and Vermont in LA’s Koreatown Community, the Vermont has transformed an open space into a vibrant, mixed use community with spectacular views and extensive amenities. Inspired by the contemporary lifestyle of Los Angeles, this transit-oriented development includes two luxury apartment towers atop a seven story podium containing parking, restaurants and ground level retail. The north and south towers are 22 and 28 stories tall, respectively, and feature 464 luxury units. A quarter-acre central courtyard, heated swimming pool, spa, gym and dog park are located on the seventh floor. The Vermont is one of the largest residential projects to be built in Los Angeles since the beginning of the last real estate downturn.
An innovative ductile core was used in both towers for seismic resistance. The combination of shear walls and ductile frames provides higher levels of redundancy and energy dissipation under seismic loading.
The project was completed in 2014 and is LEED Silver certified by U.S. Green Building Council.
