Marysville Navy Commissary facility successfully combined an efficient structural system with a contemporary architectural design to create an exciting, high volume facility at an economical price.
The project is framed in structural steel throughout. The long-span roof system utilizes open-web steel joists, which were left exposed to view. The vaulted roof was achieved with the use of curved joist girders framing to steel columns. This successful design-build project was completed on time and on budget.
