This multi-million-dollar development is in the heart of downtown Redmond Square and features two seven-story residential buildings over a subterranean parking level. The structural framing consists of five levels of Type VA construction over two-level concrete podium with shared retail, parking, and residential units.
The foundation system consists of shallow spread footings and mat foundations at concrete shear walls. Slab on grade is monolithically placed with foundation system to overcome the seasonal hydrostatic pressure. The wood-framed residential units will be supported by a two-way flat plate post-tensioned podium slab. Other concrete levels also utilize cast-in-place concrete with post-tensioned slab which minimizes internal columns for maximum openness and parking efficiency. The elevated slabs are characterized by unique geometry at each floor, including curved slab edges, insets, and elevation changes.
