Located in the Denny Triangle neighborhood of Seattle, Sloane, formerly known as 616 Battery, is a 45-story residential tower with five levels of subterranean parking. The project includes 442 living units, approximately 2,500 square feet of retail space, 262 parking stalls, and tenant amenities that offer commanding views of the Space Needle, Elliott Bay, and South Lake Union.

Inspired by the folding grids and urban fabric of the surrounding area, the design integrates architectural and structural elements to create a cohesive contemporary feel, emphasizing lighting and reflectivity.

The structure incorporates a performance based lateral-force-resisting system, combining shear walls with steel fiber-reinforced concrete (SFRC) coupling beams to resist seismic loads. Floor slabs are 8-inch-thick post-tensioned concrete, optimizing both efficiency and structural performance. The tower’s foundation consists of a mat that covers the site’s footprint and is designed to handle gravity and lateral loads while meeting settlement criteria.
