Comments from Industry Leaders
We receive many compliments regarding the quality of our work:
"We are proud of our partnership with CKC in pioneering innovative techniques on The Martin. We are excited about the potential for Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete to resolve seismic construction and buildability challenges on our future projects, and the reduction of rebar resulting from its application."
Ada M. Healey, Vice President, Vulcan Real Estate
"CKC is client service oriented. They understand what's going on, and they just go after it. They understand their profession and are very collaborative and creative. I particularly value their willingness to think outside the box, their flexibility with pushing the envelope on design components, looking for new ways of doing things, and being at the leading edge of technology."
Dan Kahn, Project Executive, Turner Construction Company
"Whenever I see CKC's name on a set of structural drawings, I know that my job just got a whole lot easier and I can be confident in giving a Contractor and Owner the best possible bid. Their drawings are consistently the clearest and most complete that I see, which means a minimum amount of time spent searching for the information I need."
Lyall Hadden, General Manager, Harris Rebar
Controlling Construction Cost with Efficient Structural Design
Today’s construction market is highly competitive and increasingly expensive. Nevertheless, opportunities exist in the design office to help control construction cost without compromising quality.
For example, concrete structures designed for compatibility with high-production forming systems can be built quicker and more efficiently. When high strength reinforcing bar is used in these same structures, additional savings are created through reductions in overall steel tonnage, reduced rebar congestion, and improved buildability. Finally, the effective use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) improves the quality of design documents and promotes early collaboration between the design and construction teams.
Looking beyond tradition and incorporating new techniques often improves structural efficiency and reduces construction cost. We invite you to contact us and explore these and many other cost saving ideas.
