Boeing Space Center
Located in Kent, Washington, the Boeing Space Center consists of twin eight-story, 150,000 square foot office buildings with an adjoining ground-level cafeteria.
The structural framework for the towers consists of cast-in-place reinforced concrete with ductile frames for seismic and wind resistance. Framing of the cafeteria is structural steel.
CKC developed efficient structural system which allowed the use of high-production concrete formwork in the office towers, and resulted in lower construction costs than similar buildings in this neighborhood.
